What an encouraging turn out for our 20s and 30s water sports social! The weather even cleared up just in time for their paddle on the river.

The next social event is a Picnic and Adult Sports Day, after the 11:15am service on the 5th of July.

May Today! A third of this year has passed already, but don’t be sad about it, we’ve got lots on the horizon to look forward to. To be honest, May is a bit of a quieter month than we’ve had recently, but there’s still plenty going on. And if May is anything like the rest of this year so far, it will fly by and then we’ll be skipping into summer and Summerfest 2026, plenty more on that, very soon!

We’re not fooling around…this really is April at CityGates Church.
After the joy of Life26 and all the great opportunities we’ve had to welcome people to church either on Sundays or other events….you might be thinking ‘what’s next?’….well Easter for one, and we’d love you to join us for that this coming weekend.

Sunday’s sermon on John 11:1-6/17-44 helped us dig into where our hope comes from in life and how for many of us it always feels fraglile and fleeting because death remains the great enemy waiting for us. For the Christian who’s hope is in Jesus, that fear is gone because death and the grave have been defeated.

We also heard from Helen who spoke about how God met her in her suffering and brought light to her, through Christ, when she was in her darkest place. He gace her hope!
