🌟Kingdom Explorers - Days 4 & 5!🌟

We’re back with a few more photos from our final two days at KINGDOM EXPLORERS! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

We’re slowly finding our way back to regular life after such an amazing week, but it was a real joy to share some of the highlights with our congregation during yesterday’s service. We had the chance to celebrate the brilliant children who stepped through our doors and to reflect on the ways we witnessed God’s grace, love and little miracles throughout the week. ❤️

And then came our final theme: ✨“Oh, MY God!”✨ A phrase that can sometimes make Christians wince a little but we decided to claim it back! 😄 We used it to remind ourselves that MY God is a loving God and that MY God wants me to know Him and build a relationship with Him. And what better way to explore that than with Lego?! 🧱 The children were challenged to build something that represented themselves, before adding it to one huge Lego board. Each individual creation became part of something much bigger; a brilliant reminder that we are all unique, we are all important, and we are all united as Children of God. Unsurprisingly, this was a VERY popular challenge! 😂

🎭 The Sketch also did her very best to help the children explore some of the more difficult parts of the Bible, alongside Rev Jenny and Rev Janet, who helped us tell the story of the crucifixion and, ultimately, the resurrection of Jesus. It’s not always an easy story to hear, but once again, the children listened, engaged and responded with such incredible maturity. We couldn’t have been prouder of them. ❤️

And then, somehow, it was time for our final day. We were joined by parents and guardians who watched as the children sang, danced and confidently recited their memory verse without a single prompt! 👏 There may have been a few slightly emotional volunteers watching from the side-lines... 🥹❤️

What a way to finish an incredible week. A huge THANK YOU (again) to every child who joined us, every parent and guardian who trusted us with their little ones, every volunteer who gave their time, energy and enthusiasm, and everyone who helped make Kingdom Explorers such a special week.

We’ve laughed, played, learned, prayed, built, sung, danced and explored together and we’ve made some wonderful memories along the way. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year! 🙏🥰

🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Mission accomplished!

Super Bethany and everyone here at Kingdom Explorers have completed their missions and are hanging up their capes as we say a fond farewell to the 45 incredible children who joined us this week.

What a fantastic few days we've had, filled with fun, games, crafts, songs, stories, laughter and lots of learning about God's love. Thank you to every child and family for being part of it!

Although Heroes Academy has come to an end, we hope this isn't goodbye. The volunteers from both Elim Ryedale Church and St Peter's would love to see you again, whether that's at one of our churches or at future family events. You'll always receive a warm welcome.

It's also been wonderful to see children from both churches making new friends, and we hope those friendships continue to grow.

As the summer holidays begin, we pray that you and your family enjoy a restful, fun-filled break, making precious memories together and knowing that God is always with you.

Finally, a huge thank you to every single volunteer. Those leading at the front and those working faithfully behind the scenes. Your time, energy and love have made this week so special for every child. We pray you enjoy a well-deserved rest before your next mission! 😉❤️

Have a wonderful summer, everyone!
