Our Mothering Sunday service was extra special this year, as it was led by 'our own' Hannah Daniels: In the true spirit of the origins of Mothering Sunday, when everyone returned to their 'mother church' on the fourth Sunday in Lent, Hannah, who was christened, attended Sunday School, sang in the Choir and was married at Chapel, joined us from her home in North Wales and did just that! It was a wonderful time of worship and included singing from the Choir and as is tradition, every woman in the congregation receiving a posey of spring flowers. There were so many former members of the Choir at the service, after the service we filed up to the choir stalls for an impromptu rendition of the Mothering Sunday Carol! Some of us hadn't sung it for nearly thirty years, but that didn't impact the performance!!
