We believe in a loving God
Whose word sustains our lives
And the work of our hands in the world
God is life
We believe in God's Son amongst us
Sowing the seed of life's renewal
He lived with the poor
To show the meaning of love
Jesus Christ is Lord.
We believe in the Holy Spirit
Making us one with God
Renewing our strength,
With Her own
The Spirit is love.

What a lovely morning we had on the Boyd walk round Antrobus. Thank you to everyone who came along to walk and to the Christian Aid coffee morning. There is something rather fabulous about walking, talking, enjoying God's creation and then cake.

We have sung Evensong at Arley Chapel at 6.30

At St Marks we have Holy Communion at 10.30ish. it may be delayed so we can cheer on the classic cars which will go past. Don't forget the big breakfast in the village hall. Following the service there will be bubbles. Geoff was 88 this week and in a world that can seem overwhelming, we want to celebrate

Church teas will be in church from 2.00 do head over and support the team.

Mental Health Awareness Week reminds us that none of us are meant to carry life’s burdens alone

In our churches, communities and homes, many people quietly struggle with anxiety, grief, loneliness, exhaustion, or uncertainty. As Christians, we are called to be people of compassion - listening without judging, supporting one another and reminding us that every person is deeply loved by God

Jesus said
“Come unto me all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest“ Matthew 11.28

Take time to check in with one another, speak kindly to ourselves and pray for all who are finding life difficult.

Today is Ascension Day and we have a service of Holy Communion at 7.30

Thy Kingdom Come runs from today until Pentecost which is a Global Prayer Event. We have books for adults and children with daily readings. Please help yourself from the back of church.

Jesus
Risen to be with us always,
You are alive
In our hearts
Awakening hope
Inspiring faith
Empowering us
With your Spirit

Give us courage
To live for you

Transform us
With your words and your ways
That the world may glimpse your glory
And know the wide mess of your live
Amen
