"WHERE ARE MY SHEPHERDS?"
Today, while leading the prayer in the morning, a burden rose in my spirit, an urgency I could not shake. The Spirit of the Lord stirred me with both grief and longing. I felt the trembling of God’s anger, but also the deep, burning fire of His love.
The Lord says:
"My children are under attack. Afflicted, pressed down, scattered like sheep without a shepherd. The enemy has come in with stealth and violence, and there is no one standing in the breach. No one is lifting up a standard. My watchmen sleep; My shepherds have fled, distracted by comfort, reputation, or fear."
"I AM the Shepherd of My people, and I will not allow the wolves to devour them. My love burns with holy jealousy. I weep for my people, and I roar against their oppressors. I am calling for those who will tend My flock, not for gain, not for glory, but out of love for Me."
"Where are the ones who will rise at the sound of My cry? Where are the ones who will bind up the broken, who will gather the lambs in their arms? Where are those who will not run when the lion roars, but who will stand firm in My name and with My heart?"
"I am raising up a new breed of shepherds- hidden ones, faithful in secret, forged in fire. They will not be moved by applause or discouraged by rejection. Their eyes will be fixed on Me, and their hands will be stained with the oil of healing. Will you be one of them?"
"When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." – Matthew 9:36 (NIV)
