🔔 The Quarter Peal that is being attempted tomorrow will be rung as a compliment for Jack's 105th birthday! Happy belated birthday Jack with love and best wishes from St. Luke's bellringers and friends. 🔔

🔔 On Saturday 30th May at 10:30am a Quarter Peal of Plain Bob Doubles will be attempted by our team of ringers at St. Luke's. It will take approx 45 minutes of non-stop ringing and concentration. 🔔

🔔 Please DO NOT enter the church whilst the Quarter is being rung as this can distract the ringers and forfeit the attempt. 🔔

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING THE FOODBANK AT DUSTON UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, MAIN ROAD, DUSTON.

Re: Crisis Bags:
The bags will contain much the same as we have been giving out now.
Tinned and packeted basic food items, such as baked beans, meat, fish, dried pasta, pasta sauce, soup, vegetables, rice pudding, fruit, long life milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and toilet rolls.
We are and shall continue to be open on Monday mornings from 9 til 12 to receive peoples donations.

Huge congratulations to Rev’d Mandy Marriott for her unwavering dedication and service to St Luke’s Church and parishioners. A truly deserving winner whose kindness, commitment and support are at the heart of our community.

Well done to Chancery Dental Duston on taking this year’s title! It was a very close call, with GJ Catering giving strong competition right to the very end, but Chancery Dental just pipped them to the post. A fantastic achievement 👏
🏅 Honorary Freedom of Duston
We are incredibly proud to award Margaret Edwards the Honorary Freedom of Duston in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the parish. Margaret was hugely instrumental in saving St Luke’s School - a campaign that took almost 10 years to achieve and throughout that time, she never gave up. Today, the site remains at the very heart of the community, not as a school, but as a thriving business hub and community centre, now home to many local businesses. A truly remarkable legacy 💐

As you know our lovely Rector Mandy is retiring this year. Her last service will be on Sunday 19th July 10.00am at St. Francis'. Mandy will be thrilled if you could join her to say "Goodbye". It's also our Parish Summer Teas and Sale at St. Luke's 2.30-4.30pm and she would be delighted if you could join her in the chancel during the afternoon. 🫖🍰☕️🧁 Xx
