We live in a culture that says or asks, what do you want? What do I need? What do I gain? The Gospel asks other questions. It says, who needs my help? Who needs my encouragement? Who needs to be heard? Who can I serve? And research consistently shows that people who serve others often report a greater sense of purpose, of belonging and wellbeing. And that shouldn't surprise us as Christians. We're created not only to receive God's love but also to share it

Yesterday we celebrated the gift of service and the many ways God works through those who quietly give their time, compassion and care for others. Our readings remind us that God's kingdom often advances not through the extraordinary but through ordinary people who are willing to respond to His call and make themselves available for His work

Our readings were the story of Jonah in Jonah 3:1–10 and the first disciples in Mark 1:14–28

📷 We also celebrated our Child Contact Centre’s 25th anniversary 🎉
