Northampton Methodist District Welcome to the Northampton Methodist District! There is always good news to share.

We are committed to growing a flourishing sustainable network of circuits of worshipping communities which are growing, evangelistic, justice-seeking, and inclusive in their outworking of the mission of God. We are a large District – and while that presents some challenges (and some long journeys) when we want to gather together it also means we are a lively group of circuits who are able to support and encourage each other.

We're absolutely delighted to welcome Melvina Brown as the Northampton District's Faith-Rooted Community Organising Lead - Mel will take up this role half time, alongside continuing half time as Overstone Pioneer Chaplain 🍃
For our Churches and Circuits, this offers an opportunity to deepen community relationships, nurture local leadership and explore how new Christian communities might grow.

♿️ Disability Awareness Sunday 2026: ‘One Body, Many Parts’

Methodist churches around the UK are invited to mark Disability Awareness Sunday on 27 September 2026 — or on another Sunday that works for your church.

This year’s theme, ‘One Body, Many Parts’, draws on 1 Corinthians 12 and reminds us of an important truth: the Church is not complete without disabled people. Every person is a valued, needed and honoured part of the Body of Christ. ❤️

There’s a FREE resource for churches, including:
🎥 A 6-minute worship video and two additional short videos
📖 Ready-to-use service ideas, Bible notes, songs and prayers
🎨 Ideas for all-age worship and youth activities

The resource has been created by Triona Brading, an autistic Christian author, ministry trainee and disability champion with Through the Roof.

Prayer for our new ministers 🙏

Lord, give the new ministers in our District courage for the journey, wisdom for the decisions ahead, and grace as they settle into new places and new communities. May they know your presence with them, and may they find welcome, friendship and encouragement within the churches they serve.

We pray too for the churches and Circuits receiving new ministers - that together they may discover new ways to share God's love and join in his mission.

Thank you for those whose time serving in the Northampton District has now come to an end, we pray your blessing over them as they move on to pastures new.
