Christmas Resources 🎄

The Methodist Church have put together an abundance of Advent and Christmas resources using their theme for this year: 'Don't Be Afraid'. You can access the resources which are already available to order or download on the Methodist website.

The resources include church posters and invitation postcards, digital assets and worship resources 💛

The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid... I am bringing you good news of great joy for all people." - Luke 2:10

It’s wonderful to hear of this story of Growth within our District being recognised.

A Methodist church once on the brink of closure now boasts a booming multinational congregation who can listen to services in their own languages.

It's wonderful to see the fantastic new websites for the High Wycombe Methodist Circuit and its churches taking shape, supported by the Northampton Methodist District!

Just look at these screenshots! Fresh, welcoming, engaging and easy to navigate. A brilliant example of how our digital presence can help us tell our stories, connect with our communities and invite others to discover more about who we are and what we do.

Inauguration and Dedication Service, Presbyterian Church in Cameroon ⛪

On the 23rd August 2026, Ruth Austen from the Nene Valley Circuit attended the Inauguration and Dedication Service of Groups and New Members of the Cameroon Christian Women Fellowship UK Diaspora, which was held at Park Grove Church in Northampton.

It was a really joyful occasion and included the official inauguration of the Northampton, Derby, Coventry and Manchester Groups of the CWF with the presentation of certificates and banners to each of the groups and the admission of seven new members into the CWF movement.

The service also included the presentation of a certificate of recognition to Deacon Sylvia Kempson acknowledging the support that she provides to the Cameroon Community on behalf of the Northampton District and the Nene Valley Circuit.

Our second guest is Wendy Sturgess. A seasoned crafter, Wendy facilitates the ten week⁠ Peaced Together course⁠ at Wellingborough Methodist Church.

WIth some of the attendees coming via social prescribing, the set themes and hands on making help to address people's challenges, mental health and emotional turmoil.

It's a remarkable course and also shows how churches can make new and successful links - in this case social prescribing and the NHS.
