⭐Little Stars returns following our summer break on Tuesday 8th September at St Mark’s Church from 1:30 – 3:00pm⭐

Little Stars is a group for Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers (and their grown-ups) to come together and share fun, friendship and fellowship.

We are a relaxed volunteer-run group, we normally offer a craft, a brief sing
song and free flow play and we always have plenty of tea, cake and a warm welcome.

The Bereavement Journey – Starting 12th October 2026

We will soon be running our Bereavement Course again. This is 7 sessions of films and discussion for anyone bereaved anytime, starting 12th October for 7 weeks.

The Bereavement Journey is an award‑winning series of films and guided conversations that helps adults explore how grief affects us in different ways, offering space to reflect, process and find steady next steps.

Created by the charity AtaLoss and run by churches for their communities, it provides holistic support including helpful signposting and practical guidance.

After the main sessions, there’s an optional final session exploring faith questions around bereavement from a Christian perspective - making the course suitable for people of any faith or none.

We’ll be running the next course from 12th October 2026.

🌿 Woodland Church Came to Church Today!

What a lovely morning across all three churches as we shared the same service and explored our theme for August: “I am the true vine”. It was a Woodland Church special, inviting us to think about how nature connects us to God just as deeply as our church buildings do.

Inspired by the blackberries bursting everywhere at the moment, we reflected on John 15, how we’re branches that can’t bear fruit alone, how God lovingly prunes, and how staying rooted in the vine keeps us growing and alive in faith.

🍃 Creating our parish vine
Everyone wrote their name on a leaf and added it to a vine in their church. All three vines will be joined together soon, symbolising our connection across the whole parish - including Woodland Church - and reminding us that we’re rooted in God’s love wherever we worship.

🌞 A moment outdoors
We stepped outside into the sunshine, linked ourselves together with a long thread of wool, and prayed the Lord’s Prayer - a simple picture of how faith binds us to God and to one another.

🍰 And of course… cake!
We finished with blackberry crumble cake, gingerbread, and sweet little cards made with berry fingerprints - small joys shared together.

🌾 Next Woodland Church:
20th September, 1.30pm walking from St David’s to Bradlaugh Fields.
Our theme is Harvest
