Safeguarding: https://www.achurchnearyou.com/benefice/26-296A/page/80693/ Welcome to St Nicholas’ Church in the heart of North Walsham. For centuries people have worshipped on this site. They have come for joyful and sad times, for baptisms (christenings), weddings and funerals. They have come for the major festivals of the church at Easter and Christmas. They have silently slipped in and prayed s

ilently and slipped out again during the course of a day. They have gathered Sunday by Sunday to celebrate the resurrection and the good news of Jesus Christ. And we continue to do so today. Some of our services are live streamed. Why not join us – you will be made very welcome.

All are welcome to join us on Friday 18th September for a special service of Choral Evensong, as we bid farewell to the Venerable Steven Betts ahead of his retirement at the end of the month.

⏰ 5.30pm

Archdeacon Steven was installed as Archdeacon of Norfolk in Norwich Cathedral on 29 April 2012.

Having grown up in Nottingham, he previously served a curacy in the Canterbury Diocese, before moving to Norfolk in 1994. He has held a number of positions in the Diocese of Norwich, including Bishop's Chaplain, Vicar of Old Catton, and Bishop's Officer for Ordinands and Initial Training, working with ordinands and curates.

This service will also be livestreamed for those unable to join us on the day.

We’ve been made aware of some youngsters behaving quite unsafely in church with their scooters etc at St Nicholas.

We don’t want anyone getting hurt, and obviously the space isn’t designed for this.

Those who have been involved are caught on CCTV so further action can follow.
