This week is also Volunteers’ Week, providing an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the many people who quietly support our church and church hall throughout the year. Whether ringing bells, arranging flowers, singing in the choir, cleaning, maintaining the church hall and churchyards, serving refreshments, fundraising, managing finances, serving on PCCs or simply offering a warm welcome, volunteers play a vital role in the life of our churches.

At St Mary’s, North Somercotes, we are blessed to have a dedicated group of volunteers who give their time, talents and energy so generously. Their work is often unseen, but without them much of what we do would simply not be possible.

We would like to offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who helps keep St Mary’s Church and Church Hall such welcoming and valued places at the heart of our village community.
