Village Calendar funds Chairs to Replace Pews at All Saints’ Church North Runcton.

Parishioner and Master fundraiser, Lilian Fisher, together with local photographer, Steve Palmer, produced a 2023 Village Calendar which contained photographs showing seasonal scenes and activities in North Runcton, one for every month of the year.
The calendar, which was sold around the world, was a great success raising £ 2,000 for church funds. The question then was, how could the money be spent effectively?
A year earlier, to provide space for community and educational purposes and a kitchenette, it was necessary to remove two rows of pews at the west end of the nave.
To replace the pews it was decided, using the profits from the calendar sales, to purchase 12 wooden stacking chairs to restore the seating back to full capacity which, will be a lasting benefit to All Saints’.
Lilian and Steve officially handed the chairs over to the Parochial Church Council on 6th July at the monthly coffee morning, which is held in the church on the first Saturday of every month.
