Today, on Good Friday, we pause in solemn reflection to remember the ultimate sacrifice made for us at Calvary. โœ๏ธ

As members of the Orange Institution, we remember Jesusโ€™s suffering and death but we also look forward with absolute certainty to the joy of his Resurrection. The story doesn't end here. ๐Ÿ™

You're invited to join us at Newtownards Orange Hall for a Dessert Afternoon on Saturday 21st February from 2-4pm.

We'll be serving tea and coffee alongside a large selection of desserts from cheesecake and pavlova to apple tart and chocolate cake.

Money raised from this event will go towards the district and will also support both our junior boys and girls lodges.

A reminder that tomorrow night Sgt Glen Espie will be in Newtownards Orange Hall, telling the story of the two attempts on his life by the IRA while serving in the UDR.

No tickets are required from this event, with doors open from 7.30pm. A retiring collection will be taken.

All change at the top in Loughries on Saturday with Bro David Thompson installed as our new Worshpful Master. Our outgoing WM Bro Adrian Lloyd installed as our new treasurer assisted by Bro Billy Tate with Bro Garvin Wilson installed as our new Secretary. Our new deputy Master Bro Carter Campbell was unable to attend and will be installed at our feb meeting. We wish all the brethren well in their new offices as they seek to push the lodge onwards and upwards ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

Join us in Newtownards Orange Hall on Friday 23rd January to hear the testimony of Sgt. Glen Espie, who survived two separate attempts on his life by the IRA.

Glen has told his story in many venues across the country and always captivates his audience with his tale of twice escaping death at the hands of Republican murderers.

The talk begins at 8pm.
