RECOMMITTED + RECOMMISSIONED 🙌

We are believing this will be a year of advancement for the Kingdom of God.

On Sunday morning, we recommitted ourselves to being a Kingdom Community — a community where our belonging begins with Jesus; thankful that the Kingdom of God has come to us through the person and work of Jesus; gathered around Jesus with Him at the centre; longing for Kingdom power, restoration and transformation; and committed to one another.

Then on Sunday evening, we gathered again to be recommissioned for the year ahead — sent back into our ministries, workplaces, homes and community with fresh faith and purpose.

As we hit ‘go’ on another year, we don’t simply want to maintain what already exists. We want to see the Kingdom advance.

More people encountering Jesus.
More lives restored and transformed.
More people finding belonging in His community.
More of God’s Kingdom coming in Carnmoney and beyond.

Lord, let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Recommitment & Recommissioning Sunday 🙌

Join us this Sunday as we look ahead to all that God has for us as a church in the year ahead.

At 11am, we’re excited to begin our new teaching series, ‘Kingdom Community.’ Stuart will kick off this series teaching from Luke 6:17-19, reminding us thatBelonging begins with Jesus. We’ll also be introducing our new interns for the year.

Then later at 6.30pm, we’re gathering for a special recommissioning service for our whole church family. Ben McMechan will be sharing from Mark 1 v 29-34 as we launch our new W&P teaching series for the year called ‘When Jesus Draws Near’, and then Stuart will lead us into a moment of recommissioning as we hit ‘go’ again on all of our ministries for 2026/27.

This service is open to everyone, whether you call Carnmoney Church home or not. However, if you lead or serve, then we’d love you to make a special effort to be there.

Jesus rules over sin, sickness and darkness.

Last night reminded us that Jesus is still in the business of restoring what looks lost.

“God wants to turn our old dreams back into reality.”

Jesus rules. And we’re believing Him for more.

On Wednesday Caroline Hawthorne reminded us that the Kingdom of God is greater than the power of evil.

“For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.” — Colossians 1:13

On Tuesday reminded us that; “Sometimes God allows us to reach the end of our competence because He wants to take us deeper into dependence.”

The wind and waves obey Him. Jesus rules.

This Sunday 🙌 (11am & 6.30pm)

This Sunday we’re gathering together for a special all-age, back-to-school service and an evening Ignition launch.

At 11am, We’ll be hearing from some of our children and young people and celebrating a new school year together.

We’ll also be continuing our two-week look at the favour of God. As we begin another church year, we all have hopes, dreams and situations where we’re longing to see God move in power. Psalm 126 gives us words to bring those things before God and to trust Him for what only He can do.

Then later at 6.30pm, our we launch Ignition Week - our week of prayer & fasting ahead of another church year.

Shane will be unpacking John 14 as we ask the Lord to give us a bigger vision of who Jesus is, the expanse and nearness of His Kingdom and what it means for us to repent and believe.

It’ll be a significant night of worship, word & prayer.

We’re really looking forward to being together — it’s going to be a significant and special Sunday for us as a church family. We’d love you to be there!

IGNITION WEEK 🔥 | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Ignition is almost here! From 30 August – 6 September, we’re kicking off the new church year by gathering to worship, hear from God’s Word and pray together.

This year we’ll focus on one big truth: Jesus Rules — as we explore the words of Mark 1:15, “The Kingdom of God has come near.”

We’ve got a brilliant line-up of speakers joining us across the week, before finishing with Recommitment and Recommissioning Sunday.

WELCOME, PAUL 👋

We’re really excited to welcome Paul as our new Discipleship Associate here at Carnmoney.

At the heart of everything we do as a church is the desire to see people know Jesus, grow in their faith and become more like Him — and we’re so thankful that Paul is joining our staff team to help us continue building that culture of discipleship across the whole life of our church.

Over the coming months, Paul will be getting to know people across Carnmoney, connecting with our different ministries and helping us think about how we can better encourage and equip one another to follow Jesus in every part of life.

More than simply welcoming Paul into a new role, we want to welcome Paul, Michelle and their family into this new season with us.

As they settle in and begin this next chapter, would you join us in praying for them? Pray that they would know God’s peace, wisdom and strength, that they would quickly feel at home among our church family, and that God would use Paul’s ministry to encourage many people to go deeper in their walk with Jesus.

We’re really looking forward to all that God will do in and through Paul in the season ahead.
