What a significant Sunday in the life of our church family 🙌

As we gathered to worship, open God’s Word, share in Communion, and welcome new members into the life of Carnmoney, we were reminded of something deeply beautiful — that the Church is a people gathered by grace, centred on Jesus, and held together by His finished work.

Communion reminds us of the foundation of our church family. We do not gather around our own goodness, achievements, or strength. We gather around the broken body and poured-out blood of Jesus. At the table, we remember the price of our salvation, the depth of His mercy, and the hope we now share together in Him.

And as we welcomed new members, we were reminded that this same grace is still at work. God is still drawing people in. He is still building His Church. He is still joining lives together in one body, with one hope, one faith, and one Lord.

Join us this Sunday as we gather for a significant day in the life of our church family.

At 11am, we’ll worship together, share in Communion, and welcome new members into the life of Carnmoney. Dan will be preaching as we continue to open God’s Word together.

At 3pm, we’re gathering in the coffee bar for afternoon communion, where we’ll serve those in our congregation who might not be able to make it to, or sit through, full services regularly in Carnmoney.

Then at 6:30pm, Stuart will be preaching as we’re returning to Exodus 3 where the Lord appeared to Moses at the burning bush. It’s a profound moment of God’s manifest presence, His Holiness, His kindness and His co-missioning. At the end of another church year, it’s important to remind ourselves that everything revolves around the presence of a Holy & loving God. Salvation belongs to Him. Creation belongs to Him. The Church belongs to Him and from Him, all things are being made new. He is the God of love who has ‘come down to rescue’ (Exodus 3 v8) all those who call upon His name.

We’ll create space to wait, pray and pray with others; space to offer up a sacrifice of worship and to allow God to bring every hindrance that is hidden in our lives out into His glorious light so that He can free and heal and redeem. We’d love you to join us as we draw near to a Holy God and worship on Holy ground with awe, reverence and thanksgiving.

We believe this is an important Sunday, with much to celebrate and much to bring before the Lord in prayer. Please do join us where you can, and be praying for all that God will do among us.

CELEBRATING A NEW SPACE FOR NEWTOWNABBEY FOODBANK 🙌

At Carnmoney Church, we are delighted to celebrate the opening of the new Newtownabbey foodbank warehouse space here on our church site.

This new purpose-built space will help provide food for four centres across Newtownabbey, increasing storage capacity and supporting the ongoing work of volunteers as they serve our local community.

Newtownabbey Foodbank is a ministry of Carnmoney Church, in partnership with churches in Abbots Cross, Ballyclare and Greencastle.

At the heart of this work is the call and example of Jesus:

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”
Matthew 25:35

Last year, the foodbank provided food for 2,818 people. This year, we have already seen a 21% increase in people needing emergency food.

Food donations can be left at the warehouse on Mondays and Thursdays between 10am–12noon, or at collection points in Tesco Northcott and Asda Ballyclare.

If you need help from Newtownabbey Foodbank, please contact 07581 179604 or email [email protected].

A powerful Sunday together as we continued through Hebrews 12 and considered the incredible contrast between Mount Sinai and Mount Zion.

At Sinai, we see fear, distance, and the reality of our sin. But through Jesus, we are invited to something greater. We are welcomed into the presence of God, adopted into His family, and brought into a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

As we head into a new week, may we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and remember that no matter what circumstances shake around us, we belong to an unshakable Kingdom. 🙌

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful…” — Hebrews 12:28

Join us this Sunday at 11am 🙌

We are continuing through Hebrews 12 and with helping us discover the contrast between Mount Sinai — the mountain of fear — and Mount Zion — the mountain of joy.

Through Jesus, we are welcomed into God’s presence and into a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

We hope to see you there!

Join us for an evening of Worship & Prayer on Sunday 7th June🙌

In a world full of noise and distraction, we want to create space to slow down, fix our eyes on Jesus, and respond to His presence together as a church family.

Whether you feel full of faith or simply weary and needing refreshed, come expectant. We believe God meets with His people when we seek Him.

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

Everyone is welcome.

Reflecting on Pentecost Sunday 🙌

On Sunday, through Hebrews 12, we were reminded of the call to pursue holiness and lives fully surrendered to Jesus:

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” — Hebrews 12:14

As we reflected on Pentecost, we were reminded that holiness is not about striving harder in our own strength, but about living lives shaped and transformed by the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of God comforts us, convicts us, strengthens us, and continually points us back to Jesus.

What a gift it is to gather together as a church family — worshipping, praying, opening God’s Word, and making space for God to move in our hearts again.

Come Holy Spirit 🔥
