An astonishing evening at St John the Evangelist, Bovey Tracey for our very first 'Live Nativity' - a crib service with a difference! Over 260 people with 80 or so children. It wasn't just standing room only, the was a line outside the door! Over 100 stayed for mince pies and hot chocolate afterwards. A baptism booked in and a conversation about a wedding put in the diary for the new year was the icing on the cake. I don't know about 'quiet revival', it seems pretty full on here in Bovey Tracey! Huge thanks to Jude Patrick and Rebecca Burton for all their stupendous hard work (and roping in of various family members). And of course, to the good people of St. John's who cleaned, shifted, welcomed, and loved everyone who came through the door.

Join us this afternoon at 4pm for a LIVE Nativity and Crib Service. It's the perfect way to start Christmas. Come to St. John's (TQ13 9BY) and see real animals as we walk with Mary and Joseph around the church grounds and live the nativity story for real! 4PM TODAY! Costumes for children, tea, coffee, mulled wine, hot chocolate and LOTS of treats for everyone!

What a joy it was to welcome children from St. Catherine’s school in Heathfield to St. John’s. We look forward to seeing them all at Explorers on the 7th December at 3-5pm at St. Catherine’s where they’ll be joined by a very special guest!
