❤️ Welcome to third and final day of our Triduum in honour of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Today's theme is 'LOVE RETURNED FOR LOVE GIVEN' and our prayers are led by Patricia Maguire.

Opening Intention – where we will pause and allow your to name your intentions.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of all love, mercy, and grace, I come before You with trust and humility. I offer this novena in union with Your Sacred Heart, asking for the grace of deeper love for You and placing before You my intentions, especially: (pause and name your intentions)

On this feast day, we are called to console the Heart of Jesus by returning love for love through lives of charity, sacrifice, and faithfulness.

Prayer
As we conclude this triduum in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us entrust ourselves, our parish, and the whole world to His mercy and love.

Let us pray.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, burning furnace of divine love, we offer You our hearts in reparation for the sins and indifference of the world. Reign in our Diocese, parishes, our homes, and our hearts. Make us instruments of Your love and mercy. Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You. Amen

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a reminder of Christ’s love, mercy, and compassion for all humanity.
May His Sacred Heart fill our lives with peace, strengthen our faith, and draw us ever closer to Him.

PRAYER

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, protect me in the midst of danger, comfort me in my afflictions, give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death.
Within your Sacred Heart I place my every care. In every need let me come to You with humble trust saying: Heart of Jesus, help me. Amen.

For three evenings, we will gather online as a Diocesan family to draw near to the Heart of Christ - pierced for us on the Cross, burning with love, mercy, and compassion for all.

Fr Tony is greatly missed by everyone in Newry Parish.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Father Tony Corr - RIP

We lovingly remember our school chaplain Father Tony in our prayers on his 5th anniversary.

His faith, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of many and continue to inspire us today.

May God grant him eternal rest and peace in His heavenly kingdom. 🙏
