Being a Christian is a call to walk like Jesus. To follow him, to do His will and to be like Him. To achieve this we have to grow daily in our lives. And from Luke 2: 52 Jesus kept on growing. The five pointers we looked at last week are the key to growth. The Word, Prayer, Action, fellowship and Faith are the tools we will need to practice consistently for Christ like growth. Bro. Fellowship of believers.
The Word encourages us as Christians to keep fellowship with each other. It actually warns us against not having fellowship. READ: 1 John 1:7

WHY IS FELLOWSHIP IMPORTANT?
I borrow from how to keep a fire burning. You will always need to have a few pieces of firewood gathered against each other. This keeps the fire going. The same applies to our Christian faith, we must keep fellowship to encourage, support, grow and comfort each other in our walk in christ.
Purpose to have fellowship with other believers this weekend and keep your flame burning 🔥.

Faith without action is dead. Our walk with Christ should be evident in all we do. These are the actions that make us the salt of the world. What does this statement mean?
Salt is only as important as it has taste. Our actions spice up the world with Christ. People will see christ through us. We come into their lives and Christ uses us to change the world, let us be vehicles that are action oriented for Christ to be glorified through us.

The Word of God is the pillar of our Christian life. It is upon the Word that all aspects of a Christian's life are founded. God Word is Himself. The Bible says in John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.
The story of creation is purely based on words that God said as well. So it is important as a Christian to always ready the Word as it grows us, renews us, conforts us, challenges us, guides us and connects us to God.
Today purpose to read the Word of God and make it a lifestyle. Just as a you will not go without food, don't go without the Word of God.

Prayer is the fuel that keeps us walking with God. Its the consistent, deliberate and intimate communication with God. A Christian is only as strong as their prayer life. Its something we must work on.
Praying does not only serve the purpose of talking to God but also listening to Him. The Bible says He hears our prayers. It's also important because it helps us release or pour ourselves out to the one who is more than able to hear us, to meet us, to rescue us, to redeem us, forgive us and give us peace, joy and gladness but above all Eternal life.

Faith is the foundation of our walk in Christ. It actually is the currency for our relationship with God. As a Christian therefore, we are called to exercise and grow our faith by reading the Word and living it. That way our faith grows. Remember Jesus healing many and saying your faith has made you whole? That's Faith. It's the foundational principle of Christianity that we must deliberately work on at all times, in good times and in bad times, in strength and in weakness but above all knowing we have an anchor strong and ready to help us grow our faith in Jesus Christ.

Good morning, Kingdom Champions.
2024 is an year of great promise and The Lord God has kept in store all good for us in accordance to his reaches in Glory.
As our theme for the year : walking in Christ's Excellence, we are called to reflect on our lives and walk with Christ. What characters of Christ are we living and blessing the world with? Compassion, Love, Humility, Service, Wisdom, Genuine concern, Forgiveness....think about it. This is the way to show the world we are of a different Kingdom, because the earthly kingdom lacks these qualities just to mention afew. Shall we go out this weekend and show the Love of christ in Excellence.
