The Urban Spirituality T Shirts (and the project) are coming in.
Urban Spirituality is many things. Ecumenical, colourful, vibrant to name a few.
If you would like to add your own photograph please do so. We await some Methodist and Salvationist friends in paricular! Okay and a few latter day Anglicans, Baptists and URC too! Thank you Fay Howe !

Join us in a prayer shared by Revd Catherine Lewis, Presbyter Methodist Cymru, whose husband is an active fire fighter in South East Wales 🙏

God of all Creation,
As the effects of Climate Change are laid out before us in the dried-up streams, rivers and canals.
And in the fields that have turned from patches of green to brittle stemmed yellows.
We pray for all effected by the wildfires raging across our lands.
We pray for all whose livelihoods will be and are being affected.
And we pray for those who are living in fear of the flames near to their homes and communities.
We pray especially for our fire-fighters who are exhausted from the ongoing battle to keep the fires contained.
Who see the devastation on the wildlife close at hand, and yet, in teams continue to work both night and day.
God of all creation, receive our prayers. Receive our prayers and sustain all those living through and working in these situations.
In the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.

We enjoyed a wonderful Newport Ecumenical Pilgrims coffee and prayer morning on The Ridgeway this morning.
We prayed for the emergency services (especially The Fire Service), The Port, the prosperity of The City, and for the ability of all people to "worship without fear."
Sister Alice CSJ decided that we should all get "Urban Spirituality" T shirts and Fay Howe was "commissioned" as our vestment maker!

Next Saturday the Newport Ecumenical Pilgrims are meeting in "Little Switzerland" for coffee, cake, fellowship and prayer.
Meet outside the Ridgeway Cafe at just before 10 a.m.
Bring a rug or a chair.

For our the August gathering we are doing something a little different!

No walk but instead meeting for cofffee, cake, and prayer on the Ridgeway.
Either bring your own, or purchase from the cafe.
We will gather on the grass overlooking the estuary, enjoy each other's company and pray for the city.
Spread the nees!
