Praise and Power Ministry UK: Statement of Faith
1. The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
2. The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eter
nal. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
3. God the Father
We believe in God the Father, the Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign over all creation, possessing perfect holiness, infinite wisdom, and immeasurable love. (Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 4:6)
4. Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1-4; Matthew 1:23; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by who's indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience distinct from and subsequent to the new birth, available to all believers, and evidenced by speaking in tongues and other gifts of the Spirit. (Acts 2:4; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works. We believe that all who repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10)
7. The Church
We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers, and in the local church as a community of believers who gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, and service. We believe in the mission of the church to make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 1:22-23)
8. Ordinances
We believe in two ordinances instituted by Christ for the church: water baptism by immersion, symbolizing the believer's union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection; and the Lord's Supper, commemorating Christ's sacrificial death and anticipating His return. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
9. Sanctification
We believe in sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, beginning at the moment of regeneration and continuing until the believer is fully conformed to the image of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18)
10. Divine Healing
We believe in the provision of bodily healing in the atonement of Jesus Christ and that divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16)
11. The Second Coming
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the church at Christ's coming, followed by His visible return to earth to reign for a thousand years. (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:1-6)
12. The Final Judgment
We believe in the final judgment of the wicked and the righteous. The wicked will be consigned to everlasting punishment, and the righteous will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God. (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15)
13. The New Heaven and New Earth
We believe in a new heaven and a new earth, the eternal dwelling place of believers, where we will live and reign with God forever. (Revelation 21:1-4)
This statement of faith serves as the foundation of our beliefs and practices at Praise and Power Ministry UK. We affirm these truths and commit to living them out in our worship, teaching, fellowship, and service to the Lord.
