Just a reminder for this weekend’s Krishna Janmashtami celebrations on Sunday, 30th August at 11:00am. We will be conducting Krishna Puja and joining together for Bhajan Sandhya.🦚

Please prepare any Krishna Bhajans you would like to sing on the day. We also encourage all the children to dress up as Krishna or the Gopis.

On Saturday, 29th August at 5:00pm, we welcome you all to take part in the Ramayan Satsang held at the Mandir.

On Saturday 25th July, Dharma Mandir Newport proudly hosted its first ‘Health Is Wealth’ Seminar, focusing on the important topic of Mental Wellness.
Led by psychiatrist Dr Hemma Sungum, the seminar explored practical techniques and approaches to supporting our mental wellbeing, with simple practices that participants can also incorporate into their everyday lives. 🧠

This event was supported by Sri Goberdhan, who shared valuable insights from the neuroscience industry, and Dr Yogesh Nathdwarawala, who brought plenty of positivity through an engaging laughter yoga session.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Hemma Sungum for leading this wonderful initiative, and to everyone who joined and contributed to making the event a success.
We look forward to bringing you many more ‘Health Is Wealth’ talks and creating opportunities to support the wellbeing of our community. 🩵

Happy Tulsidas Jayanti! 🧡

Today, 19th August 2026, we remember the great poet and saint Goswami Tulsidas, renowned for composing the Ramcharitmanas in Awadhi.

While the original Ramayana was composed in Sanskrit by Maharishi Valmiki, Goswami Tulsidas Ramcharitmanas made the teachings of Shri Ram accessible to a much wider audience.

Goswami Tulsidas Ji also composed several other revered works, including the Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Baan, Sankat Mochan Ashtak and Ram Stuti. To this day, devotees continue to recite these sacred compositions and chant the divine names of Shri Ram and Hanuman Ji.

As we mark this auspicious day, please enjoy this beautiful chanting of the Ramcharitmanas by Shri Suryadev Bissessur of the Human Service Trust, recorded during his visit to Dharma Mandir Newport in 2024.
