Two new members were enrolled into the Mothers’ Union this morning, bringing the Newport Pagnell membership to over 50.

Today we celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary both at the parish church and at Moulsoe, where it was extra special as it is also their Patronal Festival.
St Mary’s was beautifully decorated and the service well attended and made even better by the new organ making its debut performance.

Crafts galore! Wow - what a talented congregation we have.
This morning we observed and participated in a range of crafts, all demonstrated by our own church folk.
From crotchet and lace to card making, colouring and painting, to bead work and most popular, pyrography.
We all learnt a great deal about these crafts and each other’s artistic skill!
Thanks to all who brought their crafts to share and to Beth for making the cookies.

The Mothers’ Union Branch Leader, Jennifer Mazzone, and a group of the NP MU went to Choral Evensong at Christchurch Cathedral Oxford to celebrate 150 years of the Mothers’ Union.
The Cathedral hosted banners from around the Diocese and prayers were shared for Mary Sumner and the Mothers’ Union.

What a wonderful evening!
We welcomed the Bishop of Buckingham, Dave Bull, to St Peter and St Paul where he confirmed 12 candidates into the family of God. In front of family and friends, these 12 confirmed their faith and trust in the Lord and we welcome them all with love.

To celebrate their 150th anniversary the Mothers’ Union laid on an evening of competitive fun with dubious artistic skill, raising money for MU projects.
After a tasty supper of baked potatoes with various fillings followed by ice cream, the real entertainment began with Beetle Drive mania taking over!
Who knew how competitive folk can be!!
A fun evening with cheery folk raising money for good causes - what can be better?
