Today is the anniversary of D-day and we would like to remember the Methodist minister Rev. Leslie Skinner who was the first British chaplain to land on the beach at Normandy in order to provide medical assistance, last rites, Christian burials for the dead and to retain information about the fallen, in order to correspond with their families. Rev. Skinner went home to be with the Lord in 2001.
