Higher Thought Christian Spiritualist Church PROMOTING CHRISTIAN SPIRITULISM IN THE NORTH-EAST

03/06/2014

To all friends of Higher Thought Christian Spiritualist Church, last night i had to do one of the hardest things in my life. I had to go to church and remove all our belongings. The Church has finally closed it's doors. It is really sad as our church started back in 1937. Then we used to have 5 services a week and they were always full. The church has gone through some bad times but by god i can't begin to count the good times. The choir singing in Leeds and serenading the bus driver with hymn's all the way back. Some going's on on the bus and some falling off when we got back,( i won't say how). The rallies we had, suppers, Christenings, and naming services. The broth and stottie suppers and bingo night's. Things to nameless to mention. It was one of the best if not the best church in the north east. Our choir was second to none and everyone commented on it. We had some wonderful speakers and some who never let us down when we had cancellation's. We trained some fabulous healers and mediums, and councillors. I could go on all night. I first attended in 1981 and i never left. When i walked through the doors it was like coming home. I learnt so much in the church it was my way of life and my religion, because it is a religion. I have so much love for the church and this is such a sad time to say it is no longer open. All the money we have will be split between our two sponsor children in India and Cambodia. I don't know what the final amount is as it still has to be sorted with Jeff. I would like to thank everyone who helped to run the church and try to keep it open all the speakers who travelled near and far to serve us a MASSIVE THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. May god bless and protect each and every one of you. My deepest gratitude love Anne Spence. ########################xx

Hi to all friends, there will be a special on Thursday 29th May starting at 7-00pm. It will be taken by Maureen Wallwork, So please come along . It will be the last service in the church and we are trying to raise some money for the 2 children in India n Cambodia that the Church has been sponsering. The Church will be closing after that as the council is putting the hall up for tender. The Church has been going since 1937 and it will be very sad to see it finally close it's doors. Thank you everyone who has supported us over the years and to all the speakers that have served our church Thank you all Anne Spence ###

Dear friends, it is with sad regret that i have to inform you that the church will be closing at the end of May. This has nothing to do with the church but with the council. They are putting it out for tender. We are going to have a charity service for the last service on May 29th. As you all know we have always had two sponser children in India and Vietnam and we want to try and get as much as possible for them. This service will be taken by Maureen Wallwork who as you all know is an excellant medium. So please come along and hope to see you there ######
