At our first meeting of the new season, on Thursday 10th September, we will welcome Peter Sagar, a local historian and writer, who will explore the life of the Northumbrian patron Saint Cuthbert and what did - and did not - happen to his body after his death.

As usual, we start at 7pm in the Church Hall of St James' and St Basil's Church, the entrance to which is on Ravenside Road, and will finish around 8.15pm.

This year's annual membership fee is £20 or £5 per meeting for visitors. Please arrive from 6.30pm to renew existing memberships or register new memberships.

Hope to see you next week!

As the Season of Easter draws to a close, it was great to celebrate Pentecost this morning.

The summer so continues and in the months ahead were looking forward to inviting you to join us in church at weekly services, to enjoy some great music from around the world, and later in the summer to celebrate creation as we reflect on our place a stewards of where we are.

Happy Bank Holiday - we pray that this is a time of rest and joy!
