ADVENT HAS ARRIVED 🎄
Advent means 'Coming' in Latin - so this is the time to celebrate the coming of Jesus into the world. In Whizz Kids we'd normally be making Christingles, why not have a go at home!
Check out these four simple steps below and show your Whizz Kids the picture above to teach them what each part represents
1. Fasten a piece of red sticky tape or ribbon around the middle of the orange.
2. Cut a small cross in the top of each orange (place it on a tray to catch the juice) and lay a square of silver foil (75mm/3in square) over the cross.
3. Place a candle on top and wedge it firmly into the orange. The foil will help prevent hot wax running onto your child’s hand.
4. Load four cocktail sticks with raisins, sultanas, cherries or soft sweets and insert them into the orange around the base of the candle
