What's on this week.

Monday - Mothers Union are meeting in the centre at 1:30pm.

Tuesday - Mary's Place is on 10.00 - 12.00 in St. Mary's Centre. Come along for a tea, coffee and a chat.

Wednesday - Said Eucharist at 10am in church.

Thursday - Play and Praise is on in the centre from 10am till 11:30. A warm welcome to everyone with babies, toddlers, and pre-school children.

Sunday - Choral Eucharist starts at 10am

Future events
Saturday 20th June is our summer fair. It starts at 10am. If you have any donations these can be dropped off at church on Wednesdays or Sundays or Mary’s Place on Tuesday morning.

Friday 26th June Northern Cords are returning. The concert will be on in church at 7:30pm.

Saturday - the church will be open from 10 till midday for Prayer Space.

Sunday - Choral Eucharist starts at 10am and Evensong starts at 3pm at Gibside. (Please note you do not need to pay entry into Gibside if you are attending Evensong)

Today the Church marks Ascension Day, where forty days after the Resurrection, Jesus ascends into Heaven to reign at God’s right hand, and sends his disciples out as witnesses to all that He has done.

We have a special service tonight to mark this, starting at 7pm, and you would all be very welcome to join us!

We are just about ready to open the doors to Take the Stage at St Mary’s Centre.
If you’re free why not come along and enjoy the music from our community orchestra and a variety of other local talents!

Would you like an opportunity to perform? You are invited to 'Take the Stage'. All musicians and singers, all abilities and genres. Places still available to take part or come along and listen to our free concert. 🎵🎙️🎶

Monday, there is no Group 67 this month. It will be back next month with a talk from two Newcastle City Guides about the wooden dollies at South Shields.
Tuesday, Mary's Place meet in the lounge. Call in for a chat and a cuppa.
Wednesday Said Eucharist at 10am
Thursday, Play and Praise 10.00 - 11.30.
Saturday, Community Music Whickham and Swalwell are holding a Take to the Stage event in the Centre from 4pm. anyone who would like to give a musical performance is welcome.
Monday 11th May, Mothers Union meet in the Centre at 1.30pm there will be a talk by Anthony Atkinson a Newcastle City Guide.

Bearing the prayers of the Church and wider parish. Our Rector James was delighted to make the journey to York Minster to be alongside clergy and people from across the Diocese of Durham as Rick was consecrated as our new bishop.
Please do continue to hold him in your own prayers as the Church holds him in ours!
