Last night we spent time packing Blessing Bundles. 🙌

Our young people have spear headed this new initiative which will see 50 bundles of toiletry essentials distributed to the most needy in Newcastle.

What a job they’ve done!

We’re excited to be settling in for a series reflecting and dwelling on the Psalms together.

This series will involve hearing from different members of the congregation as well as leaving space for reflecting on the timeless truth together. As we spend time here, we’re praying we encounter the words of the living God that lift our eyes to the Lord in the midst of our full lives.

Do join us at 10.30am every Sunday.

Matthew, may the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord make His face turn towards you and give you peace.’

One of the things that unites the Heaton Churches Together is the desire to witness about Jesus together.

Today is Good Friday, and as is our annual custom, we shared the journey between all our churches from St Francis’ in High Heaton down to Hadrian Square, where we had a short service together.

Along the route, we were so grateful to all who hooted us in their cars, and to all those we could chat with and greet. We stopped at assorted churches to pray, sing and reflect together, and to mark the events of this Good Friday, where Jesus walked the journey to the Cross.

We give thanks to God for Jesus’ sacrifice in the Cross, and we give thanks too that we can share this journey with such good friends from across the churches in Heaton.

May you know the presence and peace of God with you this Easter weekend.

We continue our evening gatherings this week by sharing the Last Supper together in our Life Centre.

All are welcome, whether you see yourself as religious or not, and whether you’ve been to church before or not.

We meet at 7.30pm for 45 minutes to read, reflect, pray and share communion.

All are welcome. Please join us via the Life Centre entrance.

Another fantastic Big Breakfast today for our youth. A huge thank you to all those who prepared this traditional start to term for our young folk. We give thanks for such an amazing group of young people, and their leaders.

For all our young people, we are praying God’s blessing over you all in this term, particularly with so many having exams in coming weeks. May God grant you peace, rest and an assurance of His love for you. We pray that you will know these exams don’t define you or how much God loves you, and that He will be everything you need this year.
