As the new school year begins and autumn approaches, Afternoon Church is looking forward to getting back into its usual rhythm!

Join us on Sunday 13th September at 4.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Stamfordham for a short time of relaxed, family-friendly worship, followed by activities, refreshments and plenty of time together.

This month we'll be thinking about friendship and how we help one another to grow, with a Bible story, activities and lots for children to get involved with.

Afternoon Church is especially suited to families with younger children, but everyone is welcome. Whether you've been coming for years or have never tried Afternoon Church before, we'd love to see you.

Harvest weekend is coming to Heddon, and we'd love you to be part of it!

We begin on Saturday 26th September, 5–8pm at the Knott Hall, with our Heddon Harvest Ceilidh. There'll be a two-course meal followed by plenty of ceilidh dancing, and it should be a really good evening for all ages. Booking is essential, so please do book your places as soon as you can – and encourage friends and family to come along too.

Our Grand Raffle will also be drawn at the Ceilidh, with some fantastic prizes to be won. Tickets are available now at ÂŁ1 each or ÂŁ5 for a book.

Then on Sunday 27th September at 10.30am, we'll gather at St Andrew's Church, Heddon for our Harvest Festival service. This year we'll be supporting Christian Aid, as well as collecting donations of non-perishable food for People's Kitchen in Newcastle.

Everyone is very welcome to join us for either or both parts of our Harvest weekend.

To book for the Ceilidh or buy raffle tickets, please email [email protected] or WhatsApp 07916 681128.
