Veterinary Appreciation Day is tomorrow, 18th June. Rev Dr Allan Wright will lead a service marking this special day this Sunday 21st June.

This is NOT an invitation to bring your pets to church (please don't!) but it is an invitation to join in saying thank you to all who work in the veterinary sector from front desk and technicians to the vets themselves, looking after all animals from domestic pets and working dogs to farm and wild animals.

Allan began training for the ministry in 2014 after qualifying as a veterinary surgeon from Glasgow vet school in 2011.
He opened his own small animal and exotic practice, with his wife, in 2020 in Britley and continues to practice as a vet.
In 2021 he was ordained as the Church of Scotland's first pioneer minister to the veterinary community and continues to balance both these roles.

Taking her ministry further, she began additional training and was ordained as an OLM in October 2023.

Could you donate some double knit wool or a donation to cover the costs for a very worthy cause?

Our craft group meet on Wednesdays between April and December and all would be welcome.
