The Cathedral is now open following the completion of the scheduled repair works.

The regular schedule of Masses has now resumed.

This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, or Corpus Christi.

The 11.30 Solemn Mass on Sunday will conclude with a procession of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.

A moment of great joy for the Jesuits in Britain!

We are delighted to announce the upcoming Ordination to the Priesthood of Deacon Christopher Martin Brolly SJ.

The Ordination Mass will be celebrated by the Rt Rev. Stephen Wright, Bishop of Diocese of Hexham & Newcastle, on Saturday, 13 June 2026 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Newcastle.

Please join us in celebrating this wonderful milestone and keeping him in your prayers as he prepares for this lifelong commitment to ministry and service within Jesuits Global.
