General Synod of the Church of England voted in February 2020 for the whole of the Church of England to achieve net zero carbon by 2030.  Since the autumn of 2025 St Martin’s Church has been heated by air source heat pumps, electric power generated by solar panels and stored in batteries

Chris loves rural life in St Mary Bourne and was ordained in 2023. She was a Clinical Physiotherapist for 44 years and is enjoying the change of pace and direction her calling is taking her. She is married to Martin and has a son and daughter and a gorgeous little granddaughter.
