The South Newbury churches of St George's Wash Common, St John's Newbury and St Michael's Enborne remain beautifully cool during the hot weather and are open during the day until 4pm if you need somewhere cooler to come and relax.

St George’s Café is open on Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon serving tea, coffee and cakes, or you are welcome to just come into the churches and cool off at anytime.

Last weekend we gave thanks for all God's creatures great and small at a Pet Blessing service at St Michael's, Enborne. All those who attended were very well behaved (both those with two and four legs!) and a lovely time was had by all.

The South Newbury Benefice of St George, St John and St Michael is seeking a highly organised and personable Benefice Office Manager to support the smooth running of our three Anglican churches. This varied role combines administration, premises coordination, communications, and support for worship and ministry.

It is not a requirement to be a practising Christian for this role but empathy with the values and ethos of the church is essential.

We would consider a job share. The post is subject to a Basic DBS Disclosure.

Part‑time: 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.30-3.30 but with flexibility.
Salary: £14 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Location: Newbury, Berkshire
