Jesus is alive!

This lovely banner was repurposed the past few days by Anne:

"I have been doing some sorting out and a couple of weeks ago, at the bottom of a cupboard, I came across a banner that I had made in 2005. It said 'Welcome to Newbury United Reformed Church' and I had made it to hang in the foyer of the URC church hall so that the many users of the hall would be reminded of the Christian purpose of the building. When the URC church closed in 2015, I hadn't the heart to throw it away, but frankly I had forgotten about it.

During this strange and worrying period of enforced inactivity, I have had time to re-model it for a new purpose and I hope that, when we are all able to worship together again, a place can be found for it."

At our 16th February service, Erica and Val shared some sunflower seeds with us all and here is a glimpse of how they are all doing! Both small and tall, all are doing well and may they remind us of our growing faith in God this Easter Sunday.

Welcome to Newbury Methodist Church! A little bit about us:

Our Sunday Morning Worship begins every week at 10.30am, and includes traditional hymns, bible readings, prayer, and a talk given by our local worship leaders or reverend. Once a month this includes Holy Communion given by Rev. Peter Bennett.

We also join in an evening modern worship the first Sunday of every month at 7pm. Together with Bridge Church Newbury, we sing, we pray, we join hearts in sharing the wonderful words and joy God has brought to us each week.

All are welcome! If you are interested in visiting or would like to see our upcoming events please do drop by! We would love to say hello 😊 We are open for teas/coffees Tues-Thurs from 10.30am-12.30pm and you can see all our upcoming dates on our website at newburymethodistchurch.org.uk (under Church Calendar)
