It's that time of year again!
The 2026 Crossreach Christmas Card and Calendar catalogue is now available.
On this Sunday and for the next few weeks, there will be paper copies of the catalogue available to view in the Sanctuary or alternatively you can view online at https://shop.crossreach.org.uk/
All orders and monies should be with Catherine Scott by Sunday, 11 October.
This should allow those who send calendars/cards abroad time to be able to do so.
Please consider buying your cards, calendars, diaries, gift wrap and special gifts this way as all sales contribute to the wide-ranging work of CrossReach, the Social Care Council of the Church of Scotland.

The Church Choir meets within the church on Friday evenings at 7.30pm and will resume practices next Friday, 11 September 2026.
New members will be made most welcome.
No previous experience is required and all ages are welcome.

EDIT: Due to a further donation, the Defibrillator Fund now stands at £180. Many thanks.

Recently, the defibrillator at the Church was used in the community in an emergency situation. We earnestly hope and pray that the outcome of its use was positive.

Electrode pads are an essential defibrillator component, and require to be replaced once the defibrillator has been used. This replacement incurs a cost.

At today’s Thursday Coffee Morning, a raffle was held with the fantastic amount of £130 raised going towards a fund set up specifically for keeping the defibrillator in working order when the need arises.

Sincere thanks to all who took part in the raffle for this very important cause.

The winners of the raffle were S. Rutherford, R. Young, M. Cowan and J. Dodds.

On Thursdays each week, a warm welcome awaits you at the Thursday Coffee Morning between 10am and 12 noon.

Tuesday nights are Girlguiding night at Newarthill and Carfin Parish Church.

1st Newarthill Girlguiding Company will resume next Tuesday, 8 September 2026.
Rainbows (4 -7yrs) and Brownies (7 –10yrs): 6.15pm - 7.30pm
Guides (10 -14yrs): 7.30pm - 9pm
