This Pentecost Sunday, we're excited to gather for a unique ecumenical celebration at Southwell Minster! On 8th June at 9:30, all seven churches in Southwell will come together for a vibrant worship service featuring diverse styles, testimonies from our 24-hour prayer event, and a special performance by our organist Bob Evans on the Cathedral organ. Don't miss out on this uplifting experience, followed by refreshments in the Great Hall. Remember, there will be no service at Southwell Methodist Church that morning. See you there!

Four of us are embarking on the Peak Wesley Way Pilgrimage from 9th to 14th June, covering 50 miles and visiting six historic Methodist Chapels in the beautiful Peak District. There are still two places available if you fancy walking the whole route with us! Can't commit to the full pilgrimage? You can join us for a single day walk on the 11th June, starting from Great Longstone Methodist Church at 10am. Plus, we're holding a special service at Baslow Methodist Church that day at 2:30pm, open to everyone. Don't miss out on this chance to connect with God, nature and community!

The new Open the Book team in Newark is gearing up for their first assembly at Long Bennington Church of England Academy on 25th November. They'll be sharing the story of Zechariah, Elizabeth, and the birth of John the Baptist, complete with an impressive Angel Gabriel. Please keep our cast--Sandra, Melanie, Duncan, Rosalind, Stephanie, and Elaine--in your prayers, along with the children who will be involved. Newark's new Open the Book team had their first dress rehearsal today, in preparation for an assembly at Long Bennington Church of England Academy on 25th November.

I'm about to begin a Sabbatical (but for a few final engagements tomorrow and Wednesday, it begins today!) I've just set my phone redirects and email auto-reply and I'm hanging up my collar for 3 months of study, reflection and rest. Prayer appreciated, I've never had a sabbatical before and although it's compulsory it's also a gift that I want to use well! (P.S. Thanks in advance to everyone who's holding the fort - you're a great team and everyone's in great hands.)
