You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven
Matt 5:14-16

You are the light of the world! Not, you will be some day but you are light of the world! That is how God see's us, We are to be ourselves in Christ daily, showing the same love he gave freely to us, to those around us.

We are not perfect but as the spirit works in our lives our fruit will be Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in increasing measures.

Lord help us shine a bit brighter today.

We have a special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday (17th). Come and Join us for Breakfast at 10:30 - bacon / sausage rolls, drinks and more.

We will be giving food / cash to the FoodBank as part of our service so please bring along any of the items on this list. https://newark.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/

We will also celebrate Winthorpe Road Community Garden
and everyone is welcome as we also give thanks for all that God has given us - jobs, friends, food and health.

UPDATE:
Church of Promise and Newark Baptist Church have now amalgamated to form Wellspring Baptist Church.

We worship together every Sunday at 10:30am at Winthorpe Road, but we are also the run No.15, a community cafe on Balderton Gate. Everyone is welcome.

NEWS FLASH - No.15 Community Cafe is currently closed for building works but we hope to reopen at the end of September.

ALSO : We will be meeting for a picnic and service in the park next to St. Mary Magdalene Church in the centre of Newark on Sunday 1st September from 1pm, we'd love to see you there.
