🛑 ANNUAL TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE CHURCHYARD 🛑

Please be advised that St. George's churchyard will be closed and the gates locked for 24 hours from:

12:00 noon on Thursday 3rd September 2026
until
12:00 noon on Friday 4th September 2026

During this 24 hour period, there will be no access to the churchyard from the:
Church Road Gate
Church Lane gates
Gate next to the Parish Hall

This temporary closure is necessary to comply with Right of Way regulations.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

❤️ TOGETHER FOR THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND ❤️

Together was formed by members of General Synod who are aware of the need to organise for greater equality and inclusion in the life of the Church. This was in consultation with organisations such as MoSAIC (Movement of Supportive Anglicans for an Inclusive Church), Inclusive Church, WATCH (Women and the Church) and The Campaign for Equal Marriage in the Church of England. We are drawn from different traditions within the Church, but all share a belief that God calls us as we are to sit at his table. MoSAIC have decided to become a part of the new Together structures, helping us with our setup and diocesan contacts.

Sung Parish Communion | 10am

All are welcome to St. George's Parish Church for our weekly Sung Parish Communion. A eucharistic service with music, prayers, readings and worship.

We are an inclusive church where everyone is welcome to join us. Come as you are.
