Yesterday Joe was licensed at St Michael's Pensby as their associate vicar.

After Easter we sadly had to say goodbye to the Hadfields, but we wish them all the best in their new adventures.

"Thine Be the Glory" is one of the most famous Easter hymns. It speaks of perhaps the final taboo in our society: death.
We don’t like to think about it, we like to pretend it’s not going to happen.
But it will happen, to each and every one of us.

But the Christian hope is that death is not the end. Not a “hope so” hope, but a sure and solid hope based on historical events.

There is One who has risen from the dead, and all who belong to Him by faith share his risen life.

Happy Easter!

These words are from the hymn "How Great Thou Art" that get to the heart of the Christian faith.

What do you make of the word "gladly" in line 3?
True Christian faith is not about what we have done for God, but about what God has done for us.
Jesus loved us so much that he GLADLY took our place and died so that we might be forgiven.
