🀝 Our Strategic Partnerships β€” Building a Stronger Ecosystem

At Nelson Community Foundation, we believe lasting change happens when organisations work together around the needs and ambitions of local people.

We are building a strategic partnership ecosystem around our five-stage pathway β€” Support β†’ Stabilise β†’ Strengthen β†’ Prosper β†’ Contribute β€” bringing together professional expertise, business, infrastructure, employers, local government and community support.

We are proud to be working with:

βš–οΈ Zenith Lawyers β€” providing free legal advice and supporting entrepreneurs through the Prosperity Hub.

πŸ“Š Xeinadin Group Limited β€” bringing accountancy, financial and business expertise to help local entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses.

🏒 White Horse Consultants β€” providing strategic support, workspace, commercial kitchen facilities, IT and business expertise.

πŸ” Nelson Safe Deposit Centre β€” contributing Β£25 for every new customer and using its commercial reach to raise awareness of our work.

πŸ›οΈ Pendle Borough Council β€” working alongside us through Pendle Community Resilience to strengthen coordination and connect people with wider support and opportunities.

Individually, each partnership brings something valuable. Together, they are helping us build the infrastructure around people that can move them from hardship towards stability, employment, enterprise and long-term contribution.

Stronger partnerships. Stronger people. Stronger communities.

From Start-Up to Community Impact: Prosperity Hub Helps Launch New AI Company πŸš€πŸ€–

Nelson Community Foundation is delighted to have supported the launch of a new artificial intelligence company through our Prosperity Hub.

This new AI venture is our model in action. Through our strategic partner network β€” including legal, financial and business expertise β€” the company will receive professional guidance as it grows.

From Beneficiary to Contributor

The company will also support other start-ups emerging through the Prosperity Hub, using its technology and AI expertise to help local entrepreneurs build and grow their businesses.

As the company grows, a proportion of the income generated will also be shared back with Nelson Community Foundation to help fund community programmes.

A Sustainable Cycle of Impact:
πŸ”Ή We help create businesses
πŸ”Ή Those businesses support other start-ups
πŸ”Ή Commercial value is generated
πŸ”Ή Income is reinvested into community impact

This is our beneficiary-to-contributor model in action: helping people create opportunity and then enabling them to create opportunity for others.

Support β†’ Stabilise β†’ Strengthen β†’ Prosper β†’ Contribute

Special thanks to our strategic partners, including Zenith Lawyers LLP and Whitehorse consultants for helping set this up.

Our Impact Over the Past 12 Months πŸ’™

Over the past 12 months, Nelson Community Foundation has been working to turn hardship into hope β€” not only through immediate support, but by helping people move towards greater stability, wellbeing, employment and independence.

Together, we have:
β€’ Provided 36,000+ hot meals
β€’ Supported 2,100+ people across our programmes
β€’ Raised and mobilised Β£300,000 for community support
β€’ Helped 500+ people access counselling and wellbeing support
β€’ Supported 70+ people into employment

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

Our bigger ambition is to build a connected pathway that helps people progress:

Support β†’ Stabilise β†’ Strengthen β†’ Prosper β†’ Contribute

One relationship. One pathway. One next meaningful step.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, partners, funders and community for making this possible. πŸ’™

From Hardship to Hope.

πŸš€ Introducing the Prosperity Hub

Over the past two months, Nelson Community Foundation has been quietly trialling a new approach to helping people move beyond hardship and towards long-term economic independence.

The Prosperity Hub connects people to employment, business support, mentoring, professional expertise and opportunities to build a more secure future.

And the early results are encouraging:

βœ… 49 people supported into employment
βœ… 3 new businesses created

This is about more than finding someone a job. It is about creating a pathway from hardship to opportunity β€” helping people build skills, confidence, income and ultimately the ability to contribute back to their community.

The Prosperity Hub will now become a key part of our five-stage pathway:

Support β†’ Stabilise β†’ Strengthen β†’ Prosper β†’ Contribute

Over the coming months, we will be expanding the Hub, developing new partnerships and helping even more local people into employment and enterprise.

From hardship to hope. From support to prosperity.

🀝 When Local Business Grows, Our Community Benefits

We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Victoria Vaults - Nelson Safe Deposit β€” a collaboration designed to turn business growth into real community impact.

For every new customer, Β£25 is donated to Nelson Community Foundation, creating an ongoing source of support for our work helping local people move from hardship towards stability, opportunity and independence.

But the partnership goes further.

As part of a major local marketing campaign, Nelson Safe Deposit Centre distributed 100,000 leaflets across the area, dedicating one side entirely to Nelson Community Foundation β€” giving our work significant additional visibility and helping more people discover the support available to them.

This is more than a donation. It is a powerful example of corporate social responsibility in action β€” using financial support, business reach and commercial growth to strengthen the community.

As Nelson Safe Deposit Centre grows, so does the impact it can create locally.

πŸ’™ Local business. Shared success. Lasting community impact.

We’re Growing: Two Organisations, Two Clear Missions

For many years, this page has shared both the spiritual work of Nelson Community Masjid and our outreach work supporting families across the community.

As that outreach has grown, it has developed into Nelson Community Foundationβ€”a dedicated organisation helping people move from hardship to hope.

This page will shortly become the official Nelson Community Foundation page.

Nelson Community Masjid will continue through a new dedicated page focused on worship, learning, spiritual growth and Masjid life.

Two organisations. Two distinct missions. One shared commitment to serving our community.
