Nantwich Elim Church

Nantwich Elim Church A Church with the whole family in mind. Nantwich Elim Church is a lively place to meet with, and worship God.

We gather to worship and encounter God on Sundays & then throughout the week we meet for fellowship, worship, prayer, bible study, and social activities. The people are very welcoming, and the atmosphere is very much one of family and acceptance. There is excellent provision for children and young people, in the form of Youth Church, which meets for worship and teaching and then rejoins the rest o

f the family worship. Midweek there are many activities seeking to meet the varied needs of the church family, and the larger community of Nantwich. Nantwich Elim Church maintains a great relationship with the other churches in the town, and is key part of the Nantwich Christian Council. Nantwich Elim Church also hosts Olive Grove Retreat & Conference Centre (https://www.facebook.com/OliveGroveConferenceCentre) ~ a peaceful place to relax, unwind and spend some time with God. Please get in touch for more details, or visit our main church website.

It was great to dedicate Evelyn and Elijah to the Lord yesterday! Child dedication is a great celebratory time of giving thanks to God for the blessing children are, but also parents declaring their intention of teaching, speaking, and showing God's love to their children. It's also a chance for the church to stand with, support, and love this family as they do so. That is what church family is - doing life together! 🙌🏼

What a great Pentecost Sunday service yesterday! 🔥

Pastor Rachael reminded us that the Holy Spirit isn’t just given to us for a nice experience, but to empower and equip us to be witnesses to the world 🌎

“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” – Acts 1:8 ✨

What a great Pentecost Sunday we had yesterday! 🔥 Our two morning services where Pastor Rachael reminded us that the Holy Spirit isn’t just given to us for a nice experience, but to empower and equip us to be witnesses to the world 🌎

Then a great time in worship and prayer in the evening, just letting God do what He wanted to do!

“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” – Acts 1:8 ✨

Dami brought a great word on Sunday about the importance of waiting for the Spirit. We need trust, patience and courage to wait for God to speak and move. But "You never waste time when waiting on God. His timing is always right." It was great to also have artwork from Sunday School displaying 'Ruach' - the breath and Spirit of God. Join us this Sunday for our Pentecost Service!

After Jesus ascended, the disciples found themselves in the tension between promise and fulfilment.
Not moving. Not striving. Just waiting together in prayer.
Sometimes God prepares us in the waiting before He moves in power!

So great to celebrate with Conrad yesterday who got baptised 🙌🏻 "Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." - Romans 6: 3-4
