This weekend we celebrated the great solemnity of Pentecost. We heard Jesus greet the
disciples with his peace, he then breathed on them and said, 'Receive the Holy Spirit'.
On that day the Church emerged from hiding. Filled with courage she proclaimed the Good News of the Risen Christ with confidence and joy to the whole world.

We received this same Spirit at our baptism. Transformed by grace, the Holy Spirit dwells within us. We are encouraged to take our place in the mission of the Church and complete the work Jesus began.
