Two opportunities to come together to mark the beginning of Lent at Holy Trinity, Much Wenlock.

Holy Communion (Said) with the Imposition of Ashes 10.30am

Holy Eucharist (Sung) with the Imposition of Ashes 7.30pm

All Welcome.

"The imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday is a reminder of our mortality, and an act of repentance. The reminder of our death is a reminder of the death of others, at a time when lives are experienced as expendable and some lives seem to be worth more than others. Our repentance in this season, the commitment to justice and the challenges of the world around us are a renewed call to action.

'Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.' This Lenten season is a time for addressing the burning of the world, and the ashes that are accumulating from destroyed lives and hopes."

Due to the severe weather forecast overnight, we have made the advance decision to CANCEL tomorrow’s soup lunch in church. Please stay safe and warm! We look forward to seeing you on Friday 13th Feb for the next soup lunch.

A swathe of young people entering the church doors this afternoon for our Youth Drop In, as well as countless cups of hot chocolate being distributed to pupils out on the church wall.

Holy Trinity has been wanting to offer hospitality to passing Pupils from William Brookes for a long time and it is such a blessing to see our vision come to fruition.

Deep and meaningful conversations shared, as well as a lot of laughter and fun.

Our thanks to Much Wenlock Ecclesiastical Charity for financially supporting this initiative.

We had great fun last week launching our new after school drop-in. Our next one is tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon 3.30-5pm and everyone 11-16 is welcome. Pizza, hot chocolate and a variety of board games are all provided!

Tomorrow at Holy Trinity, we launch our after school drop in for all secondary school aged young people, with free pizza and hot chocolate! Please do spread the word and encourage your 11-16 year olds to come along every Thursday in term time between 3:30 and 5pm
