📖 Yesterday our newly commissioned pastoral team underwent their second of five training sessions, which are designed to more fully equip them to care for our growing family.

Our first session was all about what we are and what we ARE NOT.

We ARE pastoral caregivers ✅
We are NOT not counsellors ❌

Our second session centred around the area of Holy listening.

The art of active listening is such an important aspect for anyone proving pastoral care.

We fished by learning Narrative Therapy and practicing it in pairs.

What a blessing
What a family.

The angels in heaven along with almighty God and the heavenly hosts must have been rejoicing, right along with us.

🎊We are busy here at Motherwell Elim Church this afternoon getting our baptismal tank all clean and ready for the excitement coming tomorrow morning. 🎊

We have the absolute privilege of seeing some of our Church family living out what Romans 6:4 says, "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

A pivotal moment in all believers lifes, baptism is beautiful, meaningful and joyous for all involved.

There’s something so special about seeing people publicly declare their faith and celebrate all God has done in their lives.
