Celebrating a Year of the St Ninian Declaration
Saturday, 19th September, 10.30am - 2.30pm, The Xavier Centre, Carfin

To mark the anniversary of the St Ninian Declaration, Christians from across Lanarkshire are invited to come together to celebrate growing ecumenical friendship and consider how we can continue to live and work more closely together.

The gathering will include reflection on the St Ninian Declaration, sharing of current ecumenical initiatives, discussion of future opportunities and lunch together.

Let’s gather for a chat about the future of interfaith engagement in Inverness!

This special event is planned by Interfaith Scotland, in collaboration with Inverness Interfaith Group, to explore the future of interfaith dialogue and engagement with the local communities.

GCM - Qurbani distribution

Alhamdulillah over 600Kg was collected and distributed to Glasgow's most needy; including refugees, asylum seekers, and those in working poverty. Part of the meat was also cooked to provide meals for the homeless.

May Allah swt accept our Qurbani in its true spirit.

Eid al-Adha is the Festival of Sacrifice, marking the story of Ibrahim (Abraham) and his willingness to submit to God. It is a time for prayer, coming together with family and community, sharing food, and giving to those in need.

Wishing a blessed Vaisakhi to our friends celebrating today! This holiday is a celebration of the spring harvest. For Sikhs Vaisakhi is especially important because it commemorates the creation of the Khalsa, the community of initiated Sikhs in 1699 by the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh.
