What a great volunteer opportunity to support our local RNLI 😍🙏🏻

Every time the pager sounds, our volunteer lifeboat crew leave whatever they're doing to answer the call - day or night, in all weathers. Behind every launch are families who understand the missed family occasions, interrupted meals, sleepless nights and uncertainty that comes with having a loved one on the lifeboat 📟.

At Montrose RNLI, we know that supporting our crew means supporting their families too.

That's why we're looking for an external Family Support volunteer to become a friendly, familiar and trusted point of contact for both our crew members and their loved ones.

You'll get to know our crew and their families, helping everyone feel welcomed, valued and connected as part of our station community. Whether you're welcoming new families, promoting the support available through the RNLI Families programme, organising or supporting family events, or simply being there to listen, you'll play an important role in ensuring nobody feels they're facing the challenges of lifeboat volunteering alone.

You don't need any previous RNLI experience - we're looking for someone from our local community who is approachable, compassionate, a good listener, maintains confidentiality, and enjoys bringing people together. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

⏰ Time commitment: Flexible, with monthly requirements.
