We're doing it again, come and join us! Jazz, joy and very nice nibbles, at Holy Trinity Church, 7.30pm start, Friday, 18th September.

All welcome, but please buy your tickets in advance. Ticket includes entry fee, plate of nibbles and a glass of white or red w**e.. plus superb music and company, of course. See poster for link and QR code.

Our free Treasure Hunt-Story-Activity packs are now available at Deanshanger community centre

Go through the porch and look left (opposite the door to the Deanshanger Library) You can access them during library opening hours and whenever there are events on.

Help yourself. The treasure hunt will be in place until 2nd September and the deadline for the competition to count the camels is 10th September.

It's aimed at around age 6-12 but younger ones will get something out of it. See the post below for more details (and help if you're stuck on the treasure hunt!)

Launching this week for the summer holidays it's our all-singing all-dancing Treasure-Hunt-Activity-Competition-Story-Colouring pack for primary age kids and their grown ups over the summer. Available for free from the Community Centre foyer.

I'm opening up church on Thursday for anyone who wants to come in and spend some time in prayer re the case of Henry Nowak, his murder and the regrettable aspects of his arrest. I won't go into that matter here, but clearly this is a case which is hitting people very hard and very deep, and I feel it too. I wrote a long post on it, but I don't want to start a debate, except to say, there is much we need to learn, to pray for the Nowak family at this time, and to keep calm heads as we earnestly seek to learn lessons from this awful event. All are welcome.

So I'm going to open Holy Trinity church from 10am on Thursday till 1pm, for quiet reflection, and a chat if you need one.

The church is a lovely venue and a great atmosphere for a wonderful way to let your hair down after a long week.
