Today, July 21st 2025, will be the last regular Monday session for Voices:MK.

I do hope Voices:MK will sing again from time to time in the future, allowing groups of people to singing together, put up with my humour & support good causes while we make music fun. One thing is certain though, the M1 (& alternative routes) will see less of me on a regular basis.

Late morning of Saturday, December 6th is pencilled in the diary for a Christmas Singalong in MK & if it goes ahead, this will be preceded by a few opportunities to run through the festive favourites.

Please do let me know if that’s something you want to hear more about events like this. Follow SingingXtra for updates on Facebook as this page will be less active in future, a bit like me!

Logistics have to be discussed & I will be in touch with interested groups. I’ll post more details here & on my SingingXtra page when arrangements are known.

Later today, singers from Voices:MK will be joining with Community Voices Water Eaton for their Summer Concert, 1.30 pm until 2.45 at Water Eaton Church Centre, Drayton Road, MK3 3RR. Refreshments after. Free to get in but donations welcome as you leave.

Thank you to everyone who helped me to enjoy making music fun.

Some cool music on World Music Day (21/6) with friends from Community Voices Water Eaton & Sands Singers in the centre:mk.

We sang to help people who are supported by the local groups of BucksVision & Parkinson's UK, two “good causes” close to the heart of Voices:MK members.

Thank you everyone who took part, either singing, collecting or simply enjoying the music as they stopped to listen as they shopped. Thanks also to Black Sheep CIC for their assistance.

We all enjoyed the experience & hope the local retail staff & their customers did too. Check back next week for news from the Treasurers of the amount collected.

Voices:MK, led by David Meek, will be back singing again in December 2025. You’re welcome to join us on the day or for a run through in the weeks before. Follow us to see future announcements.

Delighted to announce that Kazoo lessons are now available following the launch of the the new Kazoo syllabus.

Kazoos can be a fun and effective tool for singers, helping with vocal warm-ups, resonance exercises, vocal confidence and even improving breath control.

The Kazoo is a great tool for practicing your resonance, to reduce stress around your larynx, to avoid a pressed tone, to avoid muscle tension, so you can sing freely.

With the Kazoo in your mouth, you close your lips and then breathe in through your mouth, through the Kazoo.

Comment below if you want to know more, you’d be a fool to miss this opportunity.
