Gill is our preacher this week and she writes....”In the Gospel, Jesus shares with his followers what current church leaders might call his 'Mission Action Plan'. But the taskforce looks a bit weird and Jesus talks about the 'Kingdom of Heaven coming near'. What does 'the Kingdom of Heaven coming near' look like, or even mean?”

At Christ the Cornerstone - Join us for this special Choral Evening Service (Sunday 14th June @ 6pm), bringing to a climax the events of World Environment Day (5th June) and the 'Great Big Green Week' (6th - 14th June), during which tens of thousands of people are coming together to urge that our neighbourhoods should be better places to live and that the natural world we love should be protected. The service includes visionary readings, inspirational music by Joseph Haydn, Bob Chilcott, John Rutter, Christopher Tin and Adrian Boynton, and several fine hymns on an environmental theme. Revd Tim Norwood offers a Reflection. Do join us if you can. Retiring Collection.

Great Big Green Week - mini-pilgrimage
This Sunday, a group of 10-15 pilgrims from St James New Bradwell will leave following the worship at St James' and take the riverside walk from New Bradwell via the Iron Trunk to Old Wolverton. Concluding the Great Big Green Week this walk will see them arrive at Holy Trinity church just after 1:15pm, with their own packed lunches, but where we will welcome them with tea and cake and a short service of thanksgiving for God's creation and their pilgrimage.

Peter is our preached this week and he writes …. “I love words and as people who know me, know I love puns! Words can engage and challenge. One word in our epistle today has been so important in Christian history and we will unpack and explore it—justification. It is not an easy read but hopefully light will emerge.”
