Welcome to Milton Keynes and District Reform Synagogue (MKDRS).If you're looking for Jewish life outside of London but near enough to pop home and see family and friends etc, you've come to the right place! Our synagogue is now is over 30 years old. We are a small and friendly shul based in Milton Keynes, but we attract members from across Bucks, Beds and Northants. MKDRS is affiliated to the Nati
onal Movement for Reform Judaism, though our membership represents a wide spectrum of religious observance. Several of our members are in mixed-faith relationships and we very much welcome non-Jewish partners. Since 2002, we have had our own, purpose-built synagogue building on the north side of Milton Keynes. During recent years we have provided our synagogue with a beautiful new ark to house our Torah scrolls, and in addition a reading desk and lectern. We aim to provide for all levels of Jewish interest and involvement. We have a thriving Cheder, of which we are very proud, as well as education classes for our members and we also provide support for non-members who are interested to convert to Judaism. Our varied programme of social events is especially popular with members. These include a reading group, sewing group and craft group. MKDRS is run by volunteers. We have a small management council, and we welcome members to help with our work. We hold regular Shabbat and festival services, which are mostly conducted by our members and by visiting Rabbis and student Rabbis.
