We’re delighted to share that the Parish Council has recently completed the installation of a traditional Red K6 telephone box on Main Road, Drayton Parslow.

The previous phone box had deteriorated over time, with rusting and water ingress, and was no longer in keeping with the character of our village. After careful consideration, the Council decided to replace it with a restored original K6 box — a design that better reflects Drayton Parslow’s heritage.

The new box looks fantastic and is already a wonderful addition to Main Road.

Over the coming weeks, further works will take place to house the village defibrillator inside the kiosk. This will include the installation of new lighting and clear signage to ensure the defibrillator is visible and accessible at all times.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project — we hope you agree the new phone box looks great and will serve the community well for many years to come.

📢 Community Update

Please be advised that the public defibrillator housed on Main Road has been temporarily deactivated while the existing telephone box is being replaced with the original red design.

During this time, the closest defibrillator is available at Greenacre Hall for anyone who may need access.

The works are expected to be completed by the end of the week. The Parish Council are excited to see the improvement and appreciate everyone’s patience while the upgrade takes place.

Thank you for your understanding.
